In the medical drama “Five Days at Memorial” on Apple TV+, hundreds of people become trapped in Memorial Medical Center and LifeCare Hospitals in New Orleans during and after Hurricane Katrina. Both hospitals are run out of the same facility. The people are taken care of and the evacuation processes are led by many Memorial Hospital doctors. One of them is Dr. Anna Pou. By showing Anna’s marriage to Vince Pou, the series also provides a glimpse into her private life. Even after the hurricane has passed, the pair spends the night together at Memorial. Viewers must be curious to learn more about Vince because the show focuses on Anna’s relationship with him. Let’s discuss what we know, then!

Anna Pou Husband Vince Pou
Who is Vince Pou?
While the former was attending medical school, Anna and Vince Pou, aka Vince Panepinto, became more intimate. According to Sheri Fink’s eponymous source text for the show, Vince was a pharmacist “who flew his own single-engine Cessna propeller plane” at the time. When they first started dating, Vince traveled with Anna while she pursued a residency in otolaryngology in Pittsburgh and an internship in surgery in Memphis. Anna enrolled in a training program for head and neck cancer surgery at a hospital in Indiana after completing the residency program. Vince stayed away from her this time.
While waiting for Anna’s training program in Indiana to finish, Vince remained in New Orleans. Anna joined the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, after the program. She was also accompanied by Vince. Anna made the decision to move back to New Orleans in April 2004 in order to work as an associate professor at Louisiana State University’s medical school. Anna’s contract with LSU also stipulated that she would work at Memorial Medical Center because the hospital was financially engaged. Anna subsequently started working as a doctor at the hospital. The couple moved into a $349,000 property near the hospital in November 2004, and in early 2005, Vince sold their Galveston residence.
Following Hurricane Katrina, Vince visited Memorial to see Anna. The duo remained a unit in the endoscopic room. He wanted them to spend a night and then go back to their home, which is about a mile from Memorial. Anna, however, turned him down since she needed to tend to the sick. The city soon started to flood, cutting off Memorial. According to the original text by Sheri Fink, Vince wanted to go back to the hospital but he was afraid of going without a gun, especially with the increase in violence in the city.
Where is Vince Pou Now?
According to reports, Vince Panepinto is a commercial pilot now located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Vince reportedly enrolled in Capital City Aviation Flight School to become a commercial pilot after receiving his BS in pharmacy. Following Hurricane Katrina, Vince was able to go to Hammond, Louisiana, and used helicopters to transport residents out of the area. Vince felt hurt as Anna dealt with the accusations made against her. “I’ve seen you put in such a lot of effort, make such sacrifices, and constantly be there for everyone, not just patients. According to Sheri Fink’s source text, “It pains me so much to watch this happen to you of all people,” he told her.
In the moment, Anna works at a cancer hospital in the Louisianan city of Covington. She and Vince are together, and they appear to be having happy married lives.
