Kristen Kish came out as gay publicly on March 28, 2014, after revealing the one-year anniversary of her relationship with her then-girlfriend, Jacqueline Westbrook, on Instagram.
In an Instagram post on September 29, 2019, Kish announced her engagement to Bianca Dusic, the VP of Food & Beverage for Standard Hotels. On April 18, 2021, they tied the knot.
In 2012, Kish competed on Bravo’s Top Chef. She was chosen to compete in the qualifying stages alongside Stephanie Cmar, a close friend from culinary school, and was given the job of preparing a trademark soup to be assessed by Emeril Lagasse. Kish completed the task and advanced to the next round of the tournament.
Kish overcame Williamson to win Top Chef, making her the first competitor to win after winning “Last Chance Kitchen” and only the second female champion in the Top Chef franchise’s history.
